The main reason for creating this site was so I could share the experience of living full time on the inland waters of Great Britain. Aside from having gained a little knowledge through borrowing my brother's boats, his first n.b.Drifter and latterly n.b.Tambourine, I came into this way of life something of a novice so rather than writing as one who has 'been there, seen it, done it', I'm able to approach the subject as somebody who has never been there, rarely seen any of it and done very little of it!
Share with me if you will, the good times, the bad times, the scary moments and the moments of absolute joy.
